5. What do clients typically come to see you for?

I typically work with adults who want help to change behaviours.  This may be helping people with one or more issue such as anxiety, confidence, cravings, fears, habits, phobias, sports fears, stress and/or weight loss.

6. Do you work with teenagers?

Please note that I do not work with anyone under the age of 18 or anyone with severe psychiatric disorders.

7. Can anyone experience hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a very natural state and some would say it’s like daydreaming.  The majority of people can go into trance if the intention is there.  However, it is not usually suitable for those who have serious struggles with their mental health or those who are under the influence of recreational drugs or alcohol.  Any uncertainties or concerned would be discussed at an initial call.

8. What will it feel like when I’m in hypnosis?

It’s impossible to say.  Many say it’s just like drifting off to sleep.  Others are aware of everything that is said during hypnosis and others don’t remember anything.  We are all different.  Most individuals do experience a feeling of deep relaxation though.

9. How private are the sessions?

Everything that takes place in sessions remains confidential.   Nothing at all is shared without the permission of the client.    The only time disclosure might potentially take place would be if I felt you were a risk to yourself or anyone else.  Equally, if a healthcare professional requires feedback on a session. In those circumstances, I would make the client aware in the fist instance.

10. How long do sessions last?

Usually 50 minutes.   The first session is always longer, sometimes up to 90 minutes, to make sure all relevant information is noted and allows the client to ask as many questions as are necessary.

In the current climate, all sessions are online.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any other questions.
